Mark Cuban asked how everything went ‘wrong’ with Trump: ‘Stupid president’

Billionaire investor Mark Cuban speaks out in support of the Harris campaign, reacts to Trump’s public criticism of him, reflects on the Biden-Harris record and looks ahead to the future of the American economy.
Billionaire investor Mark Cuban revealed why he stopped supporting former President Donald Trump in 2016, and what ultimately led him to support Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race.
In an interview with FOX Business’ Neil Cavuto on Friday, Cuban was asked what “went wrong” with his personal and professional relationship with the 45th president.
“I don’t see that it’s wrong. I mean if he wants to go out to dinner he wants to have a drink one night. He’s not going to drink, I’m going to drink. You know we’re just hanging out. It’s fun. Hanging out. He’s got a great personality, he’s charming, but I think he’s been a bad president before, I think he’s going to be a bad president this time ,” Cuban said on “Cavuto: Coast to Coast.”
“And it has nothing to do with personality,” he added. “It has to do with skill.”

The prominent businessman has been outspoken in his support for Harris, and Trump has often criticized the investor on Truth Social, calling the Cuban “stupid” and making him a “crook” for allegedly not returning Trump’s phone calls during his first term. .

“I don’t care. He’s always making speeches. That’s who he is. He wants to divide, he wants to humiliate,” Cuban replied.
“But the big picture, it doesn’t matter,” he continued. “And I’m not running. But the fact that he’s improving and finds the need to come back to me, that tells you his ability to focus, that tells you how much time he spends on policy and trying to learn things. .”
“And that was the basis of why I stopped supporting him in 2016, because the more I talked to him about policy, the less he would. When I asked him what he was reading, there was always no answer. .You can’t find a time when you said, ‘Wow, that was a serious position and a conversation with Donald Trump about this or that policy.’ It’s always talking points and soundbites, no depth, so he has to turn to Social Truth posts.

Cuban went on to say that Harris ran a compelling campaign that was “an easy sell” to voters.
“We’ve all had to deal with people who just don’t change, salespeople who don’t stop. They just don’t stop. And the content doesn’t mean anything to them. They’re just going to bother you. That’s Donald. Trump,” he said. “But the good news is that Kamala has a better product.”
In an earlier radio interview Friday morning with Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, Cuban praised Harris’ tax plan, arguing against inflation concerns and the highly controversial unrealized capital gains tax.
Billionaire investor and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says he will encourage voters to ‘disassociate themselves’ from political parties.
“The inflation really started back in April of 2020 when, remember, at the beginning of this pandemic, when there was a shutdown everywhere, and the price of gas was $1.85 everywhere, and the prices seemed to go down at that time. oil companies went to Donald Trump, who was president at the time, they said: look, we can’t afford to have oil prices as low as they are,” Cuban told Kilmeade.
“What he didn’t say is that anyone who makes less than $400,000, their taxes will not go up. And for 100 million of those people, their taxes will go down,” he said of Harris’ tax proposals. “Joe Biden wanted a capital gains tax. He chose 28%. When it comes to windfall, I’m telling you… that’s not going to happen.”
He shared that point with Cavuto: “What he’s not going to do is, he’s not going to pay taxes on unrealized profits. That was Joe Biden’s budget. It was never, ever proposed. It wasn’t right when he put it out there. .It hasn’t happened… He said he’s going to raise the profits tax to 28% on that profit when you hit a certain threshold .”

Vice President Kamala Harris says Americans want a president who has a plan that ‘makes sense and will strengthen our country’ during an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.
When asked if he would take the cabinet position offered by the Harris-Walz boss, Cuban flatly refused.
“I don’t want it. I don’t want to work for the government,” said the millionaire. “I think I can have a big impact on health care in general… doing what I do as an entrepreneur and CEO instead of working for the government.”
