Mariah Carey Dressed Up as Morticia Addams for Halloween, Announces ‘Time’ for the Holidays

Christmas Queen, Mariah Careyofficially announced the start of the holiday season via Instagram on Friday, November 1.
The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer shared a video of herself dressed as Morticia Addams The Addams Family for Halloween, dancing with an actor dressed as Gomez Addams. However, as the clock struck midnight, Carey avoided Gomez and opened her closet to reveal a bright red Santa costume.
“It’s about time!” he announced as his hit song played and the black and white scene transformed into a snowy winter wonderland. Carey’s costar even turned into a snowman.
“IT’S ABOUT TIME!!!! ⏱️🎉🎄,” Carey, 55, captioned the video.
Carey announced in October that she would re-release “All I Want for Christmas Is You” this year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her holiday album, Merry Christmas.
“Even though it’s not time to listen to Christmas music yet ‼️ I wanted to share with you a sneak peek of #MerryChristmas30 🎄,” she captioned an Instagram post featuring new artwork that will be re-released on October 9. “All I Want For Christmas Is You”… available for pre-order now!”
While fans around the world love listening to “All I Want for Christmas Is You” every holiday season, at least two people are tired of it: Carey’s twins, Moroccan and Monroe, 13.
The singer shared a video on Instagram of her children making fun of her hit song on Christmas Eve.
In the clip, Monroe and Moroccan question whether they need to be with Carey “every time” as she sings the holiday classic.
“It’s just a celebration. Not all of them… ,” Carey replied before starting to sing, causing her children to break out of the frame.
He captioned the video, “I had to do it. Merry Christmas!! 🎄❤️🎄❤️.”
Carey has previously discussed what her children know about her work as her music remains a staple of the season.
“They know the achievements, the records and this new diamond certificate. They see these things and they see them in a playlist, like most contemporary artists. Then they see it at No. 1 and it’s like, ‘What in the world,'” he said during an exclusive interview with. Us Weekly in December 2021 before joking, “Because, obviously, everyone knows I wasn’t born. I was just here, here I am. And I’m not even a real person. I’m just a cartoon character.”
