Maher says the election ‘doesn’t look so good’ for Harris, mockers need Obama to ‘scream’ at black men at the polls.

HBO host Bill Maher has suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris’ chances of winning the 2024 presidential election don’t look very good less than a month from Nov. 5.
On Friday’s episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the comedian commented on the state of the race, declaring that the fact that the Democratic Party should be encouraging black people to support Harris is a bad sign.
“And I have to say it’s not looking so good for the Democrats,” he said at the start of his show Friday night.

He continued, “This is not a good sign, you know – if you have an African American, you probably shouldn’t be looking for your support among black people, but that’s what happens.”
Harris’ challenges to attract black male voters were highlighted this week when former President Barack Obama heckled black men during a bus stop in Pittsburgh for not being as enthusiastic about Harris’ bid for the presidency as he was during his 2008 and 2012 political campaigns.
“We haven’t seen the same kind of energy and turnout in all the neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I ran,” he said, at one point adding, “I’m talking to men directly – part of it makes me. think, you don’t just hear the idea of having a woman as president, and it’s going to come in other ways and other ways.” reasons for that.”
On his show, Maher made fun of the fact that the campaign will take out Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., to speak directly to black male voters.
“Tim Walz is leading a voter engagement event tonight with Black men. Who better to connect with young Black men than Tim Walz?” he asked.
“Because apparently Michael Bublé wasn’t available,” he laughed until he laughed.

He added another punchline: “Right now, Kim Kardashian is like, ‘Hello?'”
Maher then brought up Obama’s recent comments, saying, “Obama came out yesterday yelling. You know, yelling. I don’t know last month at the meeting, he said, ‘No yelling!’ Now he’s yelling, ‘You should vote for Harris.’
He concluded this point with a final joke, saying, “But for some young people — especially young Black boys — it’s a tough decision. Harris is African American but Trump has a sneaker line.”
Later in the episode, Maher spoke to his panel of guests, including conservative analyst Buck Sexton and CNN’s Laura Coates, about the problems with Harris’ campaign in general.
Reading from Harris’ latest polling report, he said, “Right now in 2020, Biden – who has far fewer resources than Harris – was ahead of Trump by ten points, and in 2016, Hillary was up six. And she’s only 2.6. In Pennsylvania – Biden was up seven now – Biden he was high eight and arrested.
