Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall Says Harry Styles Saved Her After a Day
Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall he talks about his short love affair with Harry styles.
While Thirlwall, 32, won the UK version of the IX Factor in 2011 as a member of Little Mix, he previously auditioned in 2010, the same year Styles, 30, auditioned as a solo artist and went on to form One Direction.
“I think we went on, like one day … we were like 16,” Thirlwall recalled during an interview on the Monday, Dec. 20, episode of “The Louis Theroux Podcast.”
“He was just added to the team. It was really funny because we kept in touch and the minute they did the live shows, he didn’t text me and I thought, ‘That’s it. He’s gone. He has succeeded,'” continued the “Angel of My Dreams” singer.

Thirlwall said he and Styles ran into each other the following year IX Factor while competing on the show with Little Mix. “I saw him in the room after that [the show] and he’d say, ‘I’m really sorry for ignoring you.'”
The host Louis Theroux he replied, “Are you killing him?” Thirlwall replied with a laugh, “Yes.”
However, Thirlwall now sees the funny side of things.
“But when I was young it didn’t really mean anything,” he said.
Thirlwall went on to praise the “Watermelon Sugar” singer, adding, “She was always so lovely. He got to where he is because he is talented and very good.”
While Thirlwall and Styles didn’t go far, his teammate, Perry EdwardsStyles’ teammate, Zayn Malikfour years. The couple got engaged in 2013 but split in August 2015.

“From 17 to 21, I was in love,” Malik said of her relationship with Edwards in a May 2024 interview with. Nylon. “I was engaged. I didn’t know anything at the time. I thought I did that because I was 21 years old. I was legally allowed to do everything, but I didn’t know that s–t.”
“My parents were old school, so I never brought a girlfriend home or anything,” he added. “When I got the chance to do that, I jumped straight in, two meters first, and I said, ‘I’m going to have a girlfriend, and she’s going to live with me.’ This makes me a grown man.’”
After they parted ways, Malik continued Gigi Hadidwith whom he shares daughter Khai, 4. (The couple split in October 2021.) Edward shares a son, Axel, 3, with the soccer player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
