LeBron and Savannah James Open Up About Bronny’s Recovery From Cardiac Arrest

LeBron and Savannah James reflected on their son’s cardiac arrest in July of last year.

Bronny was practicing at USC when he went into cardiac arrest.

The James family hasn’t talked much about the incident and how Bronny has been since then, but the incident from the Netflix show. It starts at 5 showing them talking about it.

“It was about us supporting each other and we’re very grateful for the result,” Savannah said in a clip posted to social media.

Her husband, LeBron, thanked the entire USC staff and God for their help in Bronny’s recovery.

“Shout out to the man upstairs,” James said on the docket. “To the entire coaching staff, coaching staff, members of that program.”

The video then shows LeBron introducing Erin, a medical technician to his mother, Gloria James.

Erin was the one who performed CPR on Bronny when he went into cardiac arrest at USC.

“That’s why Bronny is alive now and he’s smiling and he’s thriving and he’s doing what any 19-year-old should do and that’s fulfilling his dream,” LeBron said of the coaching staff.

“It’s crazy about children, like when they like something, they want what’s important to them,” he continued. “As a parent, you know, ‘You had a heart attack.’ And like in his mind he’s like ‘Can I or can I play football again? And if the answer is yes, ‘When can I play football again?’ I like that.”

Since then, Bronny has been drafted as the No. 55 pick by the Lakers and in the preseason, he took the court for the first time with his father – in a historic moment for LA and the James family.
