Le Parisien confirms that Kylian Mbappe had a relationship with a woman in Stockholm

A series of rumors surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s trip to Stockholm last week filled the headlines in Spain this week, after Swedish police confirmed that a rape investigation was still underway at the Frenchman’s hotel. His lawyer Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard is adamant that it will not be possible for his client to get involved.

Now Le Parisien (via Marca) has alleged that Mbappe had a sexual relationship with a woman in the hotel, but it was consensual. The two then texted each other after the event, speaking fondly of their time together, described as a ‘happy reunion’. They also said that there is no evidence that the woman in question was the one who filed the rape complaints against the authorities.

They also said that Mbappe arrived at the hotel with different members of his team, as well as a number of women, after visiting the V nightclub. In that group was France and Bayer Leverkusen defender Nordi Mukiele, who convinced him to make the trip.

There has never been any suggestion by the authorities that he could be involved, and various outlets say he is a suspect in the case, while others say the opposite. Canu-Bernard appeared in the media on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, announcing on both occasions that Mbappe is sober and has a clear conscience. He also suggested that Mbappe might have been set up.
