So, I have three numbers from today’s Wall Street Journal edited by Sens. Ted Cruz and Rick Scott, on the Biden-Harris affordability crisis – on wages, cars and housing. First, consumer prices in US cities rose 26% faster than private sector wages.
Second, a family in January 2021 paid, on average, $11,579 for a new car, plus related annual expenses. Today, that same car and associated costs total – $15,337. That’s 32% price increase.

Number three is the cost of owning and living in a home – $19,119 a year in early 2021 has now reached $36,736. That’s 92% walking.
And let me sneak number four to the senators: The annual cost of owning a new car and a new home is 70% higher today than it was four years ago.
So, when Mr. Trump he asks, “Are you better than you were four years ago?” – the answer is a resounding, “No.”
This is straight up, kitchen table fare – nothing fancy. It’s the stuff middle class dreams are made of. It’s the stuff that embodies the American dream of low-income people trying to get on the ladder, young people just starting out, or middle-income, hard-hatted people trying to live the good life. .
Tip for senators: It’s a good piece and, at that kitchen table, I want to add a suggestion that Kamala broke it, and Trump will fix it.
Here is another closing argument from Mr. Trump, and good: He really has a new group of people to ensure that, in fact, he will fulfill his promises and fix the problems. I’ll just read some names: JD Vance, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Byron Donalds, Hulk Hogan and Dana White.
There are many other people – both new and old – who help Mr. Trump, but this is an important group that is hurt. From the Madison Square Group extravaganza, listen to one of the many great lines from Vivek Ramaswamy:

It doesn’t get much better or clearer or smarter than that. I had to add Dana White to the list, because his UFC is attracting a lot of new voters to Trump, and I added Hulk Hogan to the list. No, I don’t see the Hulk running the Treasury Department, but he got his money’s worth by correctly pointing out that “there were no smelly Nazis” in the Garden on Sunday, and he’s pretty cool.

So is Donald Trump – very well – with his new team and his powerful closing arguments, his Al Smith Dinner speech, his rally in the South Bronx, his visit to the barber shop, his extra salt on McDonald’s fries, yes, his Madison Square Garden. speech, which was seen by tens of millions of people. Mr. Trump is cool for one more reason: the people around him are all very smart.
