Donald Trump he does not yet have a clear, comprehensive presidential-level defense and that is a matter of debate. Will someone please explain to me, in plain English, that Donald Trump, after two assassination attempts, now has presidential-level protection on the campaign trail?
No bureaucrat-ese. Do you have? Or not? After the assassination attempt on Butler, Pennsylvania, the Secret Service apparently told other members of the House that Mr. Trump it had presidential-style protection, but then came the assassination attempt at Trump’s Florida golf course, where there was apparently no external border protection and inadequate facilities at the golf course itself. RIC BRADSHAW: “He is not the sitting President. If he was, we would have surrounded the entire golf course, but because he is not, security is limited to the areas the Secret Service deems possible.”
I’ll just say — and I’m no security expert — but there was no external perimeter sweep. So, clearly, the Secret Service was lying to members of the House. At that time last Sunday, there was no presidential-level security. Now, on Tuesday evening, at the Politico event, DHS Secretary Mayorkas released an incredible word salad that seems to elude any clarity.

So far, neither President Biden nor DHS Secretary Mayorkas appear to have given any clear orders. Mr. Trump himself has been very kind to the Secret Service and local law enforcement after the golf assassination attempt. Listen to what he had to say on Wednesday in Long Island.

All of this begs the question of whether even Secret Service protection at the presidential level is worth the high we hope it can do. At a press conference today, Acting Director Ronald Rowe spoke about the lack of communication in Butler, PA between the Secret Service and local law enforcement. He said the Service is to be blamed, because their preparation for that meeting was a failure, they did not provide enough guidance to local authorities, and there is a word salad about how the agency is now entering the “response phase.”
I don’t know what that means. Rowe’s entire publication, in fact, seemed like a salad of more words, with words such as “paradigm shift” or “change required in practice” or “principles of methods of the Secret Service,” but, from recent experience, they have had very bad principles. and the failed path.

You talked about punishing certain agents and various internal review processes, but, as I’ve suggested many times before, neither the Secret Service nor the FBI can be counted on for anything remotely like a true review of what went wrong with the service, and for that matter, the FBI, and, for that matter , intelligence agencies, including the CIA.
The left-wing bias in all of these organizations, including DEI’s hiring policies, has created a rat’s nest that needs to be completely wiped out and this should not be bias. Democratic presidential candidates should be grateful for significant changes to their coverage, just like Republican candidates, but right now, with Washington dying, there are 46 days left in the current presidential campaign. Heaven help us if those days are not entirely safe.
