Lance Bass Says Diddy Told Justin Timberlake To Leave NSync
Lance Bass she spills the tea on why she “never loved” Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The former ‘NSync singer, 45, said on the Wednesday, September 25, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that he once heard Diddy tell his band Justin Timberlake leaving the group during their last trip. Diddy opened for ‘NSync on separate dates Celebrity Tour in 2002.
“I never had time to go to Diddy’s event,” Bass said, responding to news of Diddy’s recent arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. “I forgot that he was open on our last trip until all this happened. It’s terrible.”
“I never liked him,” Bass said frankly. “Last order [on the tour]in Orlando, I heard him talking to Justin and saying, ‘You need to stop these F-ers. You need to go alone. You need to throw away [them].’”
Bass continued, “I was like, I don’t love you anymore, Diddy. In my show? What’s going on!”
Bass was a member of the chart-topping boy band with Timberlake, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez again Chris Kirkpatrick. Although the group broke up in 2002, they reunited in 2023 to record the song “A Better Place,” which appeared on Timberlake’s soundtrack, Trolls Band Together.
Fatone, 47, was recently told Us Weekly that an ‘NSync reunion tour is impossible.
“The hardest part about that is, I think, all of us [haven’t] our brains have been together for a long time,” said Fatone. “We all probably have different opinions, different points, different opinions, completely different things [to include] … as we are divided as a group.”
If a tour does happen, however, Fatone said the team may have difficulty planning the roster.
“Generally, would you want to release old songs? Yeah, that’s what we were going to do [and] that’s what I would like to see,” said Fatone Us. “That’s what would happen if we toured, but I think if we did, it would be a combination of a lot of different things that we do.”
He continued, “If we ever visit and if we do, people will see something they’ve never seen before – and everything they’ve seen before.”
For Fatone himself, he can probably add “Bengithi Benzazi” to the set list because his favorite ‘NSync song will be performed.
“It’s always been my favorite,” Fatone said.
