Kylo Ren’s Back to Let the Past Die in Star Wars’ New Comic

It’s been almost five years since Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren disappeared into the closing moments Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Since then, Disney and Lucasfilm have been careful to avoid doing much of anything set after the Sequel Trilogy (or in its general time frame), but these two companies should think now is the right time to give Ben Solo an ongoing comic.

Written by Charles Soule (Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren) and drawn by Luke Ross (Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters), be Vader’s legacy The series will pick up with Ren after the events of The Last Jedi. Looking to finish what his grandfather started, the story will begin with Ren exploring the remains of Vader’s fortress on Mustafar, and later he will travel through the rough sands of Tatooine. If that wasn’t interesting enough, we’ll also see how well Kylo has fared as Supreme Leader of the First Order after he went and cut Snoke in half.

Soule explained that the new book will continue to shed light on an unknown part of Kylo Ren’s life, especially since the events of the first two movies are still fresh in his mind. “[He’s] we really lost this time,” said Soule. “[All of that] he navigates his emotional matrix, which makes him deeply unstable, angry, and dangerous. He’s looking for any kind of guidance he can get – even if he won’t admit it – so he turns to the only thing he has left, the legacy of his grandfather, the Sith Lord Darth Vader. ” A deeper understanding will also be given to Vader himself, although Soule was mum on what to expect from that.

Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader it starts on February 5, 2025, and you can see the preview pages below.
