Krysten Ritter ‘Still Laughing’ About Working With James Van Der Beek

Krysten Ritter has fond memories of his time on the short-lived sitcom Don’t trust the B—- in apartment 23especially about working with a costar James Van Der Beek.

“I love James. I Dancing with the Stars things still make me laugh,” said Ritter, 43, only to be told Us Weekly while discussing his new film Sonic the Hedgehog 3. “We got along very well. We had a great time together.” (In the series, Van Der Beek’s character was competing DWTS for several years before continuing to perform IRL in 2019.)

Thinking about the plan, Ritter said Us that “his favorite comic I’ve ever done” was the episode where his character pretended to be the editor of People where he used his strength to put Van Der Beek in a cover and slapped the worker on both sides of their face using both hands, which he called a “smackwich.”

“That episode, that’s a good watch,” he said. “I rewatched that episode maybe, like, a year ago and I was like, ‘This is gold.’ This show was ahead of its time. It was very well written. It was very sweet. I really like playing this character.”

Ritter has a special place in his heart for his last few projects, moreover Don’t trust B—-. “I’m lucky enough to get into cool things. I’m lucky. I am very grateful,” he said. “I don’t know if there is one more than the other, but it is obvious Jessica Jones it’s big. That’s like an everyday thing, though Breaking BadHe’s really up there. Two cool shows that I’m very proud to be a part of.”

Ritter starred as Jessica Jones in the Netflix series of the same name from 2015 to 2019 and appeared as Jane Margolis Breaking Bad from 2009 to 2010. His latest role as Director Rockwell in Sonic 3 it’s a memorable experience for the actress, as the film will mark one of her first projects that her 5-year-old son, Bruce, will see. (She shares with her son and her old partner Adam Granduciel.)

“He was fifteen months old and I played a big scary witch [in the movie Nightbooks]then I practice my lines to him and he laughs when he is on the set and sees me wearing these big clothes,” she said. “Now, the kid is obsessed with Halloween and I don’t know why. We wonder why because he was exposed to all that fun, more than the scary stuff. So that’s all he saw.”

He added: “I have a little Jessica Jones figure, so you know about it Jessica Jonesbut he never saw that. So, it will be the first thing he will see of my work, which is very exciting.”
