Kristin Kreuk from Smallville, Erica Durance Talk Murder in Small Town

Kreuk played Clark’s next-door neighbor and longtime girlfriend Lana Lang, while Durance joined Smallville in 2004 as the true love of Lois Lane aka Superman. Kreuk and Durance also appreciate the impact Smallville has its audience.

“It’s incredibly important to be a part of a program that is a people program. “This is the show they turn to when they’re feeling down or the show they turn to when they’re going through something really challenging in their lives,” commented Kreuk. “It has changed my whole view and my memory of the program I worked on for eight years. It’s also reassuring to understand that I’m taking myself out of the equation and seeing the system as it is for other people. “

With that amount of ongoing love and support for Smallville, it makes sense for fans to ask about a potential reboot or revival. Kreuk and Durance heard from Welling again Michael Rosenbaum teasing the animated series, which they think would be a “good version” of the screen reunion.

“Something like that can create. We could continue with the characters and see them in a different place in their lives,” explained Kreuk before revealing what he would like to see happen to his character. “Lana left the program with a lot of energy and purpose in her life, so I would like her to be able to come back and drive. Maybe it’s something he’s trying to achieve, and then something happens and he gets pulled over.”

He added: “And within that, it would be great if he and Lois could work on something together like working on solving anything that needs to be solved or helping someone. I feel like it would be nice to have something that was more functional and wasn’t dependent on Clark.”

Durance wholeheartedly agreed with Kreuk, adding, “With my character — especially when they brought her back for Disaster — you realize she’s a mother. So that reminds us of what it would be like to tell a story in a way that it’s hard to be a mother and go back to work. You can’t be all things, you do your best. … Playing a character that shows he’s still doing his best and trying to put that together.”
