Kovalev On Fury vs Joshua: “Joshua Has A Fragile Head”
‘The Krusher’ Sergey Kovalev is tipping Tyson Fury to defeat Anthony Joshua in the ‘battle of Britain’ when the two former heavyweight world champions meet in 2025.
“Fragile” Chin
Kovalev says Joshua is “weak” in the chin area, which is why he thinks Fury can win. Sergey isn’t saying that Fury’s strength isn’t up to the level of the fights that AJ has had issues with during his career.
Power punches hurt Joshua
– Wladimir Klitschko
– Andy Ruiz Jr.
– Daniel Dubois
– Alexander Povetkin
– Dillian Whyte
Only two of these fighters defeated Joshua, which shows that he is strong and finds a way to recover from injuries in his fights. Fury isn’t even close to any of those smart heroes, and his scoring technique consists of hurting his opponents. Joshua is too strong to be overwhelmed by Fury’s hold and lean tactics.
It is not clear whether Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) will agree to fight Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) after his second loss against United heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk last Saturday night in Riyadh.
After the fight, Fury, 36, sounded like a bitter politician, angry at the judges and in complete denial about what happened. His love of money will probably set him back.
There is a lot more green than Gyspy King not to return the two fights that benefited him against the late Joshua, who was knocked out of the water by Daniel Dubois on September 21. If Fury was not in the money, he would retire and not be seen again, but he cannot resist going back. $100 million payment date against AJ. Both fighters are expected to earn over $100M from their ‘Battle of Britain’ bout.
“Joshua doesn’t keep punches to the head, you know? Joshua has a fragile head. A little bit, and he’s still dancing,” said Sergey Kovalev speaking to Secondsout, saying that Anthony Joshua can’t stand boxing. “I don’t know who will win, but I think Tyson Fury will win [against] Joshua.”
