Kevin Durant, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic & More
The NBA injury ward is full of stars at the start of the 2024-25 season, including Kevin Durant, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Zion Williamson, Kawhi Leonard, Paolo Banchero, Scottie Barnes and Tyrese Maxey.
Let’s take a closer look at some of these injuries and put the timetable back.
KEVIN DURANT
In a big game for the 8-1 Suns, Kevin Durant suffered a left hamstring injury against the Mavs on Friday and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Shams Charania said.
Durant had an MVP-like start to the season and was a big reason why Phoenix was the No.1 seed in the West.
The biggest concern is that it’s the same calf that Durant struggled with in the summer before playing for Team USA in Paris. Although, it didn’t slow him down in the Olympics, preseason or starting the NBA season with the Suns, so let’s hope he can repeat the same process.
Through his first nine games, he averaged 27.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 55.3% from the field.
JA MORANT
Grizzlies star Ja Morant is listed as week-to-week after scans revealed a hip subluxation, along with multiple Grade 1 pelvic issues, Memphis announced Saturday.
Morant suffered the injury while trying to catch a pass in Wednesday’s win over the Lakers.
Ja Morant was injured in this attempt to find a place to live.
Somehow there was nothing wrong with it. Which is funny.

“Morant was tripped mid-air by a Lakers player, causing him to fall to a right hip replacement,” the Grizzlies explained.
Ja was electric to start the season, so let’s hope we see him back on the field soon.
LUKA DONCIC
Luka Doncic was added to the injury report for Saturday’s game against the Nuggets – he is listed as questionable with a left groin strain.
Doncic has played in all nine of the Mavs’ regular season games so far this season and with his best friend Nikola Jokic having ended his playing career with a nagging injury, he could be on the court.
ZION WILLIAMSON
The Pelicans announced Saturday that Williamson suffered a strained left hamstring and will be out indefinitely.
Zayoni is on the list of players who have suffered a hamstring injury in three of the four games he has already missed this season.
Williamson also suffered a hamstring injury last season in one of the best games of his career, so there is no doubt that the team will proceed with caution when he returns to play.
