Kei Nishikori has reached the quarter-finals twice at the Rolex Shanghai Masters.

Former World No. 4 Kei Nishikori, three-time major champion Stan Wawrinka and Buyunchaokete have been awarded wild cards for the Rolex Shanghai Masters, the tournament announced on Wednesday.
Nishikori, 34, will be making his debut in Shanghai from 2018. The Japanese star has reached at least the quarter-finals twice in his last six appearances. Nishikori reached the last eight in his previous ATP Masters 1000 tour in Montreal in August.
Wawrinka, the former World No. 3 in the PIF ATP Rankings, he will compete in Shanghai for the 13th time. The 39-year-old has reached the quarterfinals twice.
Home favorite Buyunchaokete will be making his second appearance in Shanghai. Last week, the 22-year-old reached the semifinals of the Hangzhou Open, before falling to former champion Zhang Zhizhen.
The Rolex Shanghai Masters runs from 2-13 October.
