Kate Beckinsale Responds to Blake Lively Suit, Details of Mistreatment

“I have been following, as many people are following, this situation between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. I must emphasize that I do not know them both. I’ve never met either of them and I wasn’t on set,” said Beckinsale, 51, in a Sunday, December 29, Instagram video. “But I will say, what is highlighted is the effect of this machine when a woman complains about something legitimate, offensive, offensive, hurtful or anything in this field.”
Beckinsale recalled a time when she was doing a project and was called names after expressing concern about working with an unknown costar.
“I was called, at the end of it, over the walkie-talkie and to my face ‘that c—,'” she said. “Because I said, ‘I find it very difficult – my costar is late every day and it’s obvious that he’s going through something and I sympathize with that a lot, but I’m also waiting, like all the crew, six hours a day, for him to read his lines. Beckinsale shared that the studio ended up giving her a bike to use during her downtime. The actress also reflected on an incident in her career where she was put on a “strict diet and exercise program” that resulted in her losing her period twice. Beckinsale went on to say that she felt “unsafe” fighting in two different movies with two different actors and had to get “MRIs” to show that she was injured.
“I was ostracized and I felt like I was a problem and blamed and ostracized,” he said. “[I was] left out of dinner, which was not addressed as soon as I mentioned that there was a problem.”
In addition to being mistreated by others on set, Beckinsale said she encountered a problem with someone on her team.

“I was forced by the broadcaster I hired to take pictures the day after I had a miscarriage,” she said in this clip. “I said, ‘I can’t. I’m going to bleed. I don’t want to change my clothes in front of strangers to take pictures. I have a miscarriage,” he said. “He said, ‘You have to, or you will be sued.’
Beckinsale said the examples she recalls in the clip were some of the many similar things she has encountered in her career over the years. Although Beckinsale notes that times have changed, she said that these issues are still prevalent today, and she is proud to see Lively, 37, representing and encouraging other women like her.
“Thank you to Blake Lively for highlighting that this is not an old problem that no one is dealing with – this is ongoing,” The underworld said the actor. “And when it happens, a machine comes in to destroy it. And I’m sure it’s the same in other industries, and it will have to stop.”

Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni, 40, on December 20 accusing him of sexual harassment and launching a “harassment” campaign to “destroy” her reputation while promoting their film. It ends with us.
“I hope that my legal action will help pull back the curtain on these revenge tactics to hurt people who speak out and help protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement. The New York Times December 21.
Baldoni denied the allegations and said through his lawyer that the allegations were “false, defamatory and intentional.”
