Justin Timberlake Cancels Concert Due To Injury, Apologizes To Fans

Justin Timberlake sent a message to his fans after canceling the show at the last minute Forget the Tomorrow World Tour.

“I’m so sorry to cancel today’s show,” Timberlake, 43, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, October 8. “I have an injury that prevents me from performing.”

Timberlake noted that he hopes to add the show back to the calendar. “So disappointed not to see you all – but I’m working on rescheduling ASAP,” she wrote. “I promise to forgive you and give you the show you deserve.”

Timberlake ended his upload by praising his fans for their compassion. “Thank you guys for understanding. Thank you for your support all the time,” she wrote, signing the note “JT.”

Timberlake was scheduled to perform in Newark, New Jersey, on Tuesday. The night before the cancellation, Timberlake performed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. A few days ago, Timberlake stopped in Montreal – for one night with his wife Jessica Biel12 years.

“We are coming back! Thank you @jessicabiel for sharing our memory with Montreal. LOVE EVERYONE! #TFTWTOUR,” Timberlake wrote on Instagram on Saturday, October 5.

He uploaded a tribute video with clips from his recent performances, including his on-stage shout-out to Biel, 42. “This is another very special night for me. My wife is here tonight, and tonight is our 12-year anniversary,” he said, as the crowd cheered inside Center Bell Arena.

Timberlake kissed Biel, who threw him to his side. “So treat it well, Montreal, because you’re joining all of you tonight,” he concluded. (The pair, who tied the knot in 2012, share children Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4.)

One month ago, Timberlake apologized for his DUI arrest earlier this summer. (Us Weekly confirmed in June that Timberlake was arrested for drunk driving in the Hamptons. He was kept in police custody and then tried. He was later released without bail and charged with two counts of traffic violations and one count of DWI.)

“A lot of you have covered me for most of my life and, as you know, I try to hold myself to the highest standard,” Timberlake said at a press conference in September. “This was not that. I found myself in a situation where I could have made a different decision, but I had time to think about it.”

He continued, “What I would like to say to everyone watching and listening: Even if you drink once, don’t get behind the wheel of a car.” There are many alternatives, call a friend, take an Uber, there are many transportation apps [or] take a taxi. This is a mistake I made, but I hope that anyone watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake.”

Timerblake agreed to a plea deal, accepting a lesser charge of traffic violations. He will complete 25 to 40 hours of community service with a non-profit organization, pay a $500 fine and issue a public safety order.
