Joshua Vs. Fury: ‘Battle of Britain’ Still Matters to AJ

Anthony Joshua says he is focused on getting a fight with Tyson Fury in 2025. Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) wants to make a tough fight with the recently defeated former WBC heavyweight champion Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs). ) soon.

Luring Fury Back

Fury, 36, has been laying low since his defeat of joint champion Oleksandr Usyk on December 21 in Riyadh, and he is no doubt wondering what went wrong this time around for a second defeat. He looked like he didn’t have one anymore.

His performance, or lack thereof, showed why it was important to get the ‘Battle of Britain’ fight against Joshua done quickly. Some believe that Fury may announce his retirement, and they continue ‘R’ lookwaiting for a speech that brought tears to his eyes.

Joshua needs to increase the pressure on Fury to cheer him up and motivate him to keep going because he might do something he doesn’t realize. He retired once, then came back.

“2025, I mean Tyson Fury,” said Anthony Joshua on Sky Sports News.

He needs cheers from Joshua and others right now that will make him think he has done better than what he has done.

AJ has more reason to retire than Fury because he lost to IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois by a fifth round knockout on September 21st in front of 90,000+ fans at Wembley Stadium, London. That was a perfect fight, with Joshua getting knocked out four times.

Joshua had never been taken out like that before. You could see that Dubois was very strong, young, and out of his league talent. However, it would be the same if Dubois was fighting Fury. He might be even easier because his boxing resistance is gone, and he won’t have anything to stop Dubois in an instant.

“It makes me hungry, it makes me want to work hard. Time is of the essence; time is short, so I want to put in some more work,” Joshua said of his loss to Daniel Dubois on September 21.

“When I look back, I believe that I would have done more in 2024. I still have another chance in 2025 to do more, and I will make sure I take every opportunity that comes my way. I should have won but I didn’t, I will go again,” said Joshua.

Joshua should forget Dubois forever and focus entirely on fighting Fury twice before calling it a day. Going back with Daniel would be a bad idea.
