JD Vance puts the media in focus in Springfield, Ohio

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance stunned Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris during an event in Michigan, echoing a speech about her upbringing that she often repeats at her events.
Speaking to a group of supporters in Traverse City, Vance said he also “grew up in a working-class family” and knows what it takes to stand up for the middle class in an election year unsettled by inflation and crippling costs.
“Now, look, most of you know my story and many of you know where I come from. Look, I grew up in a working-class family. And so, when the Democrats – when Kamala Harris – talk about her class background, when the Democrats talk about how they represent working people, they’re not telling the truth,” Vance said.
He added: “They lied to you.”

In his remarks, Vance said voters can look back at how many Democrats in office during the COVID-19 crisis want to force a shutdown and keep it in place while Americans are desperate to get back to work.
“This is how we know they are lying to you,” he continued. “Remember back a few years ago when there were a lot of nurses, a lot of people in a lot of industries who were losing their jobs because they refused to take the COVID shot? Now, I believe if you want to take the Covid shot, take the shot. If you don’t want to take the COVID shot, don’t take the shot of COVID. men and women working at their jobs for not doing what Kamala Harris would tell them to do.”
Vance was visiting Michigan as the state represents an important base for former President Trump’s re-election chances and down-ballot races such as former Congressman Mike Rogers, who is running to represent Michigan in the US Senate.

After praising Rogers, Vance turned his attention to the current vice president.
“I don’t know if you’ve seen the news, but Kamala Harris has decided to do her first solo interview,” said Vance. “I’ve watched a few of these interviews, local reporters with Kamala Harris, and I see why Kamala Harris doesn’t answer. And the answer is that every time she answers a question, I think we gain. about 100,000 votes, me and Donald Trump.”
“They asked Kamala, because you are the vice president and you are the reason why we have high inflation and an open border, what are you going to do? What is your specific plan to solve the problem of inflation and you can’t buy groceries and houses? And Kamala will say, you know I grew up in a middle class family, I have a very nice lawn in the back there in Berkeley, California,” he continued. “It’s like, that might be true. What the hell does inflation have to do with it?”
Vance added: “Or they will say, Kamala Harris, we have a war on every new continent across the country. Kamala Harris, your administration somehow led to the policies that created this conflict. How are you going to solve it as President of the United States and Kamala Harris will say, you know I worked at McDonald’s for about months three when I was young?”

The Republican Party lashed out at the Democratic nominee for arguing that he fails to provide specifics in his answers.
“I think my friends, all of us watching this interview are asking ourselves, who is Kamala Harris? What exactly is she planning to do for the American people? And we don’t know the answer. [But] there is no need for us to guess that much because he has been vice president for three and a half years and he has done nothing. So let’s stop this idea that Kamala Harris will fix the very problem she created. “
