Jason Kelce blasts math out of control: ‘Numbers are numbers, numbers are geniuses, geniuses fail’

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce only cares about one stat: points.

During a recent episode of “New Heights,” Jason’s brother Travis Kelce brought up a quote from Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris after being asked about Kyle Pitts not being caught in their last game.

Morris said statistics are for losers, and he doesn’t deal with that “stuff”.

Jason Kelce will agree to be the head coach of the Falcons.

“Statistics are numbers. What I care about is football. Where does it go? Does it go to the end zone? Are we getting points? Points are also numbers, but points decide games and wins and losses. Statistics are numbers, numbers are smart, smart fail, so the stats are lost,” said Jason.

“All we care about is, does that ball go into that field when we score? Does that ball go through the uprights? If we defend, does the ball go like that or does it stay where it is? That’s all I care about. I don’t care about numbers, numbers are for people who analyze analytics, who push pencils, zit face, and four eyes,” added Jason.

As for his brother, Travis understands what Morris meant by missing persons statistics.

“If you care enough about the stats to change your day, I think that’s when you don’t have a winning mindset. So, I get what coach Morris is saying, but at the same time, if you put the ball back in the end zone you’re going to get the stats, that’s what it is,” Travis said.

“I will say this, Kyle Pitts is an incredible player, a football player. I think trying to get the ball in his hands is a great plan for the Falcons,” Travis continued.

Despite his talk about statistics, Jason still thinks the Falcons should try to sign Pitts.

“As much as possible, they should increase his stats because he’s a good weapon to use,” Jason said.

The Falcons won 26-24 over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday despite not scoring an offensive touchdown and Pitts not being caught.

In their loss, the Saints became the first team to score at least 24 points, not allow an offensive touchdown, and lose in 40 years.

Regarding the Chiefs, Travis Kelce had the best statistics of the season in the victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The star tight end had seven receptions for 89 yards in the win.

The Chiefs’ next game will be against the Saints “on Monday night,” where Jason Kelce will be in the pregame program, and the only stats he has are points.
