Sinner hits the practice court with Fritz at the Nitto ATP Finals

Both trained at the central court in Turin

Preparations for the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals are in full swing. No. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner went to the center court of the Inalpi Arena to practice with Taylor Fritz who is also qualified for the second time on Wednesday.

The two, who tied at the top of this year’s US Open final, were the first to hit the nail on the head as the fourth match of the season wraps up in Turin.

Sinner lost to Novak Djokovic in last year’s tournament in Turin, but will be keen to go one step further this time. The Italian won his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January, and hasn’t looked back since his breakthrough year.

Fritz reached the semifinals in his first appearance at the Nitto ATP Finals in 2022. Now, after another fantastic season, in which he reached his first final, the American is back in the hunt in Turin.

Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev, who won on Tuesday, also took to the practice courts ahead of their Nitto ATP Finals campaigns. De Minaur batted with Juan Carlos Prado Angelo, while Rublev shared the field with Andres Martin.

The competition will take place on Thursday 7 November at approximately 12:45 pm CET, following the pre-competition press conference.

With the honor of the first No.1 in the PIF ATP Rankings, and the most successful doubles team in history, the singles teams at this year’s Nitto ATP Finals will be the Ilie Nastase Group and the John Newcombe Group, while the doubles teams will be. Bob Bryan’s team and Mike Bryan’s team.
