James Kennedy’s Girlfriend Ally Lewber Speaks Out About Domestic Violence Arrest
James Kennedygirlfriend, Ally Lewberhe talked about his arrest for domestic violence.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and looking out for me,” Lewber, 28, wrote on an Instagram Story on Saturday, December 14. “I’m fine and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all kindness and respect for my privacy at this time.”
Us Weekly confirmed on Thursday, December 12, that the police were dispatched after receiving a call about a dispute between a man and a woman. Authorities found Kennedy, 32, allegedly holding a woman on Tuesday, December 10. Police rushed to the scene and found no visible injuries and he was released on a $20,000 bond.
Kennedy’s lawyers released their own statement about the incident on Friday, which read, “We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made by the Burbank Police Department against James.” We understand that no one was injured and we hope that after careful consideration, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”
Lewber has previously turned down Bravo stars Teddy Mellencamp again Tamra JudgeThat they saw Kennedy torture Lewber. Scheana Shay updated the allegations after inviting Lewber on a February episode of his “Scheananigans” podcast.
“I think it’s been two years now [after the MTV Movie & TV Awards]. Again [Tamra] they said they were going to a party at TomTom. And during the car ride there was an argument between the two people in the car, which made him and Teddi get out of the car,” explained Shay, 38. “They had to separate the two people in the car. Again [they] he also suggested that James was involved, and now there are rumors that Teddi may have brought up the conflict between you and James.”
Lewber dismissed suggestions that Kennedy “physically harmed” or “beat” him.
“I am surprised that it is the most asked question [for me]. That makes me really sad because no, I’m beautiful. That never happened. No physical altercation,” he told Shay at the time. “Yes, we were both traveling in the car. I thought we were having fun. We were having fun. But then James and I started arguing, but there was no beating. I was bleeding, and they didn’t have to get out of the car to separate us. So that didn’t happen. That’s all I have to say to that.”
Lewber continued: “We are ready. We are happy. He works for himself. I know before that you have anger issues. So I get it. But I want people to know that I’m beautiful and safe and I love him.”
According to Lewber, Kennedy was drinking during the 2022 disagreement. (Kennedy confirmed in season 11 of Vanderpump Rules (that he is currently sober after past problems with substance abuse.)
“He was still drinking. Yes, we were all drunk in the back of that car. Yes, that’s true,’ explained Lewber. “But nothing happened physically. I mean, we went to TomTom. We got to TomTom and we were happy. It was like, good night. I don’t think that was a time, or, like, a night where we were like, ‘Okay, drinking is not fun.’
Lewber was grateful when Kennedy chose to eliminate alcohol from his life, adding, “We fought when we drank. I drank and drank [fights]. If you drink too much and in those places, it’s not good. That’s not who we really are. That is an example of why he should not drink.”
Later in the episode, Shay admitted that Kennedy’s ex-girlfriends Rachel “Raquel” Leviss again Kristen Doute previously fueled speculation that Kennedy may have physically abused them during their relationship. Shay then wanted to give Lewber a “safe space” to talk about anything on his mind.
“Thank you. Because I didn’t know,” Lewber replied. “I’m like, do I go on my Instagram and say, ‘I’m good, guys?’ Like, I don’t know how to go about these kinds of things. And this is a very serious matter. And I appreciate all those who are concerned about me. But I want everyone to know that I’m beautiful.”
Kennedy’s ups and downs have been in the midst of many seasons of Vanderpump Rules. After first appearing in season 3, Kennedy’s romantic relationship with Doute, 41, took a turn for the worse when he slapped Kennedy at Scheana’s wedding and. Mike Shay in 2014. In one season, Kennedy spat on Doute’s door. (Doute, meanwhile, responded to Kennedy’s arrest by writing “Finally” on his Instagram Story.)
Meanwhile, Leviss, 29, revealed that there are other details about his breakup with Kennedy that he did not tell the public before. In the January episode of her “Rachel Goes Rogue” podcast, Leviss recalls filming an episode of season ten. Vanderpump Rules where he started drinking alcohol while discussing their breakup and revealed that he left out a lot of information.
“I was telling them that I was planning to break up with James and that I intended to leave the ring box when he returned from Europe,” she recalled. “All my things would be gone, and I felt that would be the safest way to break up with him. I didn’t have the details of why we broke up and why I can no longer be with him.”
Leviss responded to Kennedy’s arrest with his legal team
“We are aware of James Kennedy’s recent arrest for domestic violence. This news, unfortunately, is not surprising,” his lawyers, Mark Geragos again Bryan Freedmanyou have been told Us Weekly in a statement on Thursday.
