An Illinois woman won $1 million on a forgotten lottery ticket she found back in her purse.
He got into trouble for seven people because of a Lucky Day Lotto ticket that he said he put in his bag and “forgot about it” after buying it while visiting a shop last month on his way to see his relative, according to. the Illinois Lottery.

“A few days after the drawing, I saw a ticket in my wallet and I opened my lottery app to scan my ticket to see if I won,” she said. “I immediately saw ‘$1,000,000’ on the screen and was completely shocked.”

“I checked the ticket again to double check, and when it said ‘$1,000,000’ again, I immediately started crying. I thought, ‘This is unbelievable,'” she added.

The lottery said the woman “asked not to be named.” Illinois allows winners of prizes of $250,000 or more to be anonymous.
