Is Ryan Garcia Abusing Romero?

Ryan Garcia has reportedly chosen Rolly Romero as his opponent for May 2 in Times Square, New York. Fans are surprised that Garcia handpicked Rolly (16-2, 13 KOs) because he is not well liked and was just released last year.

Garcia vs. Romero will be the main event on Turki Al-Sheikh’s card on May 2. Devin Haney will fight Jose Ramirez in a fight for the main promotion. It should be answered, with Haney-Ramirez in the main event and Garcia-Romero as the main event. Ryan is more popular than Devin because of his 12 million Instagram followers, which is why he is in the top spot against Romero.

Boxing fans will give Ryan a chance to use Rolly in preparation for the PPV because his next fight will be a rematch with Devin Haney in October. So, they’re going to put up with Garcia taking a can of tomatoes to Rolly Romero because he’s fighting Devin next.

Will Garcia regret it?

Garcia relies on Rolly to bring excitement to his fight with his ability to trash talk outside the ring. That is the main thing that Romero is good at. He is a limited hero, but he interacts with fans through strange conversations.

However, he has not done well in his fights and over the years he has not looked good in fights. He was knocked out by Pitbull Cruz last March and did poorly in fights against Ismael Barro, Manuel Jaimes, Gervonta Davis and Jackson Marinez.

Initially, there were discussions between Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) and Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz. However, he chose not to take the fight because he was scheduled to fight Angel Fierro on February 1. Cruz wanted to wait.

So, Ryan went with Romero, 29, as his opponent. Pitbull choosing not to fight Garcia is what ruined things. But even if he chooses not to take the match with Kingry, there could be a better one than Rolly.

Ryan’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, was interested in Teofimo Lopez as his opponent, but went with Rolly instead.
