iOS 18.3 release date: If you can try this new, exciting feature

The next big iOS update probably isn’t too far away, but don’t expect a ton from it.

Apple’s next software update will be iOS 18.3, or at least, that’s what everyone is expecting right now. Since iOS 18.2 just came out, that would make sense. It should be noted that we don’t know exactly when iOS 18.3 will launch or exactly what it will include when it comes out. However, per 9to5Mac, the x.3 update for each of the last three iOS versions came out in late January, so expect iOS 18.3 to launch in late January, unless something weird happens.

As for the big new features coming to iOS 18.3, we only know of one right now, and “big” might be a kind word to use for it: the robot vacuum controller. Specifically, you’ll be able to use the Home app to control your robotic sprinkler, the same way you can use the app to control smart home lights and other devices. The weird part is that Apple isn’t currently producing its own robot vacuum, but that might happen in the future.

Everything else currently in the iOS 18.3 developer beta fits under the umbrella of “bug fixes and minor improvements,” unfortunately. That doesn’t mean there won’t be some big features that will eventually be revealed, but things like Apple Intelligence will probably have to wait until iOS 18.4, at first.
