Inside Ciara’s ‘Nostalgic’ Collection Was Inspired by Her Wardrobe

Ciara you are sensitive when it comes to fashion.
Ciara, 38, opened up to herself Us Weekly about her Y2K-inspired Bebe capsule collection, which featured many pieces inspired by her real-life wardrobe.
“All the energy of Y2K nostalgia definitely poured into this collection,” says the singer Us at the launch event for his line on Thursday, September 26.
Ciara, who also serves as the brand’s creative director this fall, noted that she has pieces in her wardrobe that go back nearly two decades, since she first started collecting clothes.
“I have a lot of Louboutin shoes in my closet,” he said running. “I have almost the same heel silhouette that I was for a while 15 to 17 years ago.”
Along with the shoes, Ciara has kept some of her pants from the past. “I have jeans that I’m holding on to because I hope I can fit into them again,” he laughed Usadding, “But, you know, that’s another big wish.”

The “How We Roll” singer also remembered them Us ditching the Dundas dress she wore to the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. “I love that, it was so much fun,” said Ciara. “I think when I’m old I might have to, just for old time’s sake, stand in the mirror in that dress.”

Her alluring gown featured a halter neckline, open back, crystal-embellished mesh fabric and fitted silhouette. Underneath, she wore a black thong. Ciara topped off the look with black leather gloves and strappy Louboutin heels.
At the time, her bold look was the talk of the night.
“It’s never too bold when it comes to fashion,” said Ciara Us. “That’s what fashion should be. It is a way of expressing yourself.” He added, “I think you should be happy. You have to take risks sometimes.”

When it comes to her Bebe collection, which launched on Tuesday, September 24, Ciara couldn’t be more “freaked out” about how it turned out. One of her favorite outfits to wear is the Oversized Sweater Dress with platform Sienna Boot, which she also wore to the launch event. “Or black wars,” said Ciara Us. “You can dress it up and dress it up.”
