Smile! The fall horror box office hit is coming to scare you on the small screen soon. Smile 2a pop star-centric sequel to Parker Finn’s 2022 feature, it’s one of those rare movies that is more of a sequel than an original. Charlie’s Angels Actress Naomi Scott stars as the front of the film, a pop megastar named Skye Riley. Among the cast are Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson.
Whether you skipped the theater or want to watch it again, Smile 2 available to watch at home from Nov. 19. Here’s everything you need to know.
What Smile 2 about?
The film takes place just days after the first one ended, and follows international pop star Skye Riley (Scott), who is working to return to work a year after the accident that killed her boyfriend. Although he has been sober since the accident, the emotional and physical stress of the trip leads him to seek out drug dealer acquaintance Lewis (Gage) for painkillers. Unfortunately, he gets more than he bargained for, as Lewis is infected by Smile’s curse and passes it on to Skye. What follows is an “unexpected story full of scares, terrifying images, and haunting sounds,” along with lots of creepy smiling people.

Is it Smile 2 is it worth watching?
In select theaters across the country, Smile 2 has been a surprise box office hit. Against a production budget of $28 million, the film grossed $125 million worldwide. In addition, $23 million of that came from its opening weekend. Even more impressively, critics and fans alike loved it more than the original – a rare feat for a sequel. Smile 2 currently has an 85 percent critic rating and an 81 percent audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while the original Smile has 79 percent and 77 percent, respectively.
Mashable reviewer Monica Catillo called it “even funnier and funnier this time around” in her review. “It’s not often that a sequel surpasses its original, though Smile 2 brings the thrills and chills of its predecessor with an even more intense funhouse feel.”

Just a month later Smile 2 dominates the box office, it will appear at home on popular video-on-demand sites such as Prime Video and Apple TV+. Now you can buy movies for your digital library. Is it Smile 2 streaming?
Smile 2The first place in the home entertainment market will be digital on demand. If you don’t want to pay $24.99 for the movie, however, it will be streaming later. Being a Paramount Pictures film, like the original, it will be joining the Paramount+ library. While there is no official broadcast date yet, we can make an educated guess based on the timeline of other Paramount Pictures films and wait to see. Smile 2 reach the broadcast cycle in mid-December.
For reference, Essential Images’ A Quiet Place: Day One opened in theaters June 28, premiered Aug. 2, and hit Paramount+ on Aug. 27.

If you choose an annual plan instead of a monthly plan, you can save 38% on your subscription. You’ll have to pay more upfront, but it pays off in the grand scheme of your live streaming plan. The annual Paramount+ Essential plan will run $59.99 per year, which is just $5 per month compared to $7.99 per month. That’s like getting 12 months less than eight. If you want to watch more than just Smile 2 and ads are not a shortcut, this is your best bet.

College students can get a monthly subscription to Paramount+ Essential for just $4.50 a month, as long as they can verify their student status using SheerID. Once confirmed, student discounts are valid for four years, even if you graduated earlier than the four-year period. After four years, you will be charged the standard monthly subscription fee for Essentials.
Best third-party deal: Get Paramount+ for free with a Walmart+ membership
It may not be an easy way to look at it Smile 2but a Walmart+ membership gives you free access to Paramount+ and plenty of other great benefits.
