Hallow’s CEO says Christian ‘revival’ is happening as US sees growth in Bible sales
Americans turned to God in this holiday season and led to an increase in Bible sales, according to a new report.
Bible sales increased 22% in October compared to the same period last year, according to new data from Circana Bookscan, reported the Wall Street Journal. Total US print book sales rose just 1%, the report said.
Publishers recommend advertising and new designs, common concerns in the world, and the increase in young people starting to buy, with the prosperity of the Bible.
“It feels like a real revival is happening,” Hallow CEO Alex Jones told “The Big Money Show” on Tuesday. “I felt it in my life. I had lost my faith and I came back to it, that’s why we started Hallow in the beginning, but we see thousands of people coming to this application and faith from all different walks of life.”

Jones said he sees both young people, who have not taken their faith seriously, and older, apostate ones, returning to church.
“I think God is doing something really good,” he thought. “It’s fun to be a part of.”
The increase in Bible sales comes as polls show a decline in religiosity across the country.
The share of Americans who practice Christianity fell to 68% last year, according to the report Gallup poll.
Jones, who created the Pray 25 Advent Challenge on the Hallow app, encourages people to make time for God each day — explaining that prayer is about giving and leading people to “a life of deep love.”
“It’s not just God trying to please you,” he said. “What he is trying to do is to fill you with love, to let you know that you are loved deeply and beautifully, but then go share that love with others – especially those who are most in need.”
