Share Market Today, October 15: Sensex, Nifty likely to open in the green; GIFT Nifty futures are at a high
Share Market Today, NSE Nifty 50, BSE Sensex: Home equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty are likely to start today’s (October 15) session on a positive note. Around 7:20 am, GIFT Nifty futures, the primary benchmark of the 50-share index, was up 23.50 points or 0.09 percent at 25,245 before the opening bell on Dalal Street.

In US markets, major indices closed in the green, including the Nasdaq, and the S&P 500. Asian market indices were mixed.
Here’s how the global indices fared:
- The Nasdaq ended at 18,502.69, up 159.75 points or 0.87 percent.
- The S&P 500 was up 44.82 points or 0.77 percent at 5,859.85
- Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 593.52 points or 1.50 percent to 40,199.32
- South Korea’s KOSPI rose 3.54 points or 0.13 percent to 2,626.83
- Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 54.56 points or 0.26% to 21,038.31.

In the last session (October 14) both the domestic indexes ended higher, the Sensex closed at 81,973.05, up 591.69 points or 0.73 percent and the 50-share index (Nify 50) closed at 25,127.95, rose 163.70 points or 0.6 to buy among 0.6 percent financial and IT sector stocks like HDFC Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank, and Wipro were the top gainers.
