Grace O’Malley Talks ‘Whirlwind’ Year in Brianna Chickenfry Friendship

Grace O’Malley entered the conversation. The Barstool Sports podcast host has spoken out after persistent questions about his childhood Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.
“Now that I’ve noticed: This past year, however many have been a whirlwind of my friendship with Brianna. Yes. “There’s no denying that,” O’Malley, 26, shared on Instagram on Wednesday, October 30. “It’s a time to move on and live.”
O’Malley shared a photo of himself pointing a fake gun at LaPaglia’s ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan beside the message. (Bryan, 28, publicly confirmed earlier this month that she and LaPaglia, 25, had split after a year together.)
Fans have been questioning the status of O’Malley and LaPaglia’s friendship for the past few months. Recently, listeners of the “PlanBri Uncut” podcast wondered if there was a rift between the two following the October 8 episode of the podcast.
The two first joked about an incident O’Malley experienced ten years ago in Atlantic City that “stopped [her] as a woman.” He mentioned being “coerced or coerced” into the situation when he was 16 years old, and LaPaglia quickly reminded the audience that teenagers shouldn’t be “hanging out with divorced men in a bar.” O’Malley also said “it’s not my fault” multiple times, and fans began to speculate that there had been issues between the two. (There has not been a new episode of “PlanBri Uncut” since October 10.)

While LaPaglia didn’t publicly wish O’Malley a happy birthday on October 27, TikTok was abuzz with rumors that their friendship was over — something LaPaglia has since shut down.
“I haven’t had a TikTok for months. But obviously everything someone does when they talk about my life,” he wrote in his statement on Wednesday. “So, I’m no longer interested in sharing my personal relationships online because the internet wants to destroy them all.”
He spoke about O’Malley specifically, adding, “Grace has been like a sister since I was 15 years old. I secretly wished him a happy birthday. I’m sorry but I’m a week away from hell and I’m tired of feeling the need to explain myself to strangers. I love you guys and that’s all there is to it.”
LaPaglia has confirmed that she is taking a break from both “PlanBri Uncut” and her second podcast, “BFFs,” which she hosts alongside it. Josh Richards again Dave Portnoy.
“Brothers! We tried to film this week but I’m having trouble figuring out how I want to do this publicly because of all the backlash,” LaPaglia wrote in a message shared on the “BFFs” TikTok account. “I’m going to put my mental health first this week. Josh and Dave want to do I’m sure I’m doing what’s best for me. I need to prioritize the right things this week. I hope you all understand.”
