Google introduces its Gemini AI-powered video presentation system

Google often introduces its Gemini AI-powered Vids app that lets you create video presentations using information. Some of the key features of Vids include allowing Gemini to auto-insert your own stock footage, generate a script, and create AI voiceovers so you don’t speak. Google advertises that this tool can help convert customer support articles into videos, create training videos, share company announcements, create meeting summaries, and more.

Videos will be automatically available to Workspace organizations with access, but Google notes that usage restrictions may apply to features such as “Help me create” and AI voice recognition from 2026.

First announced in April, Vids lets you drag relevant documents, slides, captions, and video recordings into the app’s timeline and produce a video presentation for your coworkers. The app supports multiple languages, but AI features like Help Me Create and the teleprompter for reading together are currently only in English. The release period of the Vids started on November 7, and it may take more than 15 days for it to be visible to others.
