Dr. Ligot highlighted key cybersecurity challenges in the IT-BPM sector, including reliance on offshore partners, which increases exposure to insider threats and supplier-related breaches. He cited the struggle to get support from decision makers for strong measures despite data being a valuable asset and recommended cyber security practices to keep employees prepared for emerging threats.
Bonifacio shared Globe Telecom’s effective cybersecurity initiatives, such as blocking person-to-person SMS through links, and using AI to increase productivity and promote employee work-life balance. He also emphasized the importance of meaningful cooperation.
