Zee Business Commodity Editor Mrityunjay Kumar Jha was on Wednesday awarded the Voice of Jewelery Industry award by the All India Gem And Jewelery Domestic Council, a national trade association for the promotion and growth of the gem and jewelery industry across the country.
Jha received the title in front of around 2,000 fashion designers.
Also known as GIC, the trade confederation represents the interests of more than six lakh gem and jewelery businesses from across the country, including industry segments such as manufacturers, retailers, and wholesalers.
This organization was established with the aim of dealing with the industry, its operations and its cause in a comprehensive way to promote and advance its growth.
The GJC undertakes many initiatives and programs aimed at improving the industry’s business practices, as well as promoting compliance, standardization, transparency, and professionalism to grow and develop the industry sector.
It also organizes various promotional activities to promote retail businesses and manufacturing units through various dedicated platforms designed for the purpose.
