Garrett Yrigoyen’s Bachelorette Wife Alex Is Pregnant With First Child

Garrett, fans met him during his time The Bachelorette in 2018, he recalled being “super stoked” when he learned he was going to be a father.
“I immediately got super giddy. I was blown away,” he said. “He ran up to it, and he said, ‘Oh, my God, can you believe it?’ I said, ‘No,’ because I thought, that’s happening too fast.” (The couple revealed that Alex found out she was expecting in the summer of 2024 and was 16 weeks along when she talked to him. The two decided not to tell their families until they saw it in person during the holidays. Garrett’s parents were early, receiving Christmas decorations on Thanksgiving which revealed that their grandchild would arrive in June 2025. Alex’s family received good news on Christmas as the couple joined them in San Diego for a week.
Although Garrett and Alex have time to process her pregnancy, they do not plan to find out the gender of the baby. “We feel that there are few surprises in life. So we’re going to wait until the end,” Garrett said Us.
The mother-to-be agreed, saying, “We want to share that moment [between] just the two of us. So we will wait until the day he comes, whatever it is, a boy or a girl.”

Garrett noted that he had no choice in sex as long as he could teach his child to fish. “I hope to have a little fishing friend, a boy or a girl,” he said. “The person we will travel with, we will travel together around the world. I need someone to go fishing with me there.”
Garrett rose to fame when he won The Bachelorette Becca Kufrin‘s final rose on season 14 of the ABC dating series in 2018. The pair got engaged during the season finale, but announced their separation in September 2020.
Kufrin, 34, found love no Thomas Jacobs after meeting in season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise. The couple married in October 2023 after welcoming their son, Benson, one month earlier.
Garrett, on the other hand, moved on with Alex in the fall of 2020. The two went public with their romance in October and got engaged two years later.

The couple said “I do” in November 2023 on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. “Forever until the end of time … what a magical time and the best day,” Garrett wrote on Instagram at the time. “I couldn’t have asked for a beautiful bride and now a wife.”
A year later, as the couple prepared to become parents, they were not happy. “I can’t wait to see her as a mom, and I think it’s going to be so much fun together,” Garrett said.
