WINSTON-SALEM, NC — On the face of it, it may sound absurd to suggest Wake Forest might have a better program this spring than last year, when it was led by the No. 2 overall pick Chase Burns, No. 4 overall pick Nick Kurtz and No. pick Seaver King, along with third-rounder Josh Hartle and fourth-rounder Michael Massey. All five were preseason All-Americans, contributing to the high preseason expectations of No. 1 Wake Forest, coming off a historic 2023 campaign that resulted in a No. 1 national ranking and a trip to the CWS semifinals.
