Errol Spence Vs Sebastian Fundora: March 29 fight in Las Vegas

WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora will fight Errol Spence on March 29 in Las Vegas. The war is still being negotiated.

Former United welterweight champion Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will be out of action for 20 months if his fight with ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) goes ahead.

Errol turns 35 on March 3. This fight is expected to be shown on PBC on Prime Video PPV. There’s no word yet on pay-per-view pricing, but it’s likely to be in the $80 range.

@FerSabatiniBox and @DanRafael1 broke the news about the Fundora vs. Spence on March 29.

Errol’s latest setbacks

Spence is coming off a ninth round loss to Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on July 29, 2023. Errol was heavily penalized in that fight and did not compete at all. Physically, he didn’t look like the warrior he was in 2018 and earlier in his career. Some believe that a combination of Spence’s 2019 car accident injuries, neglect, unemployment, obesity and age took a toll on him.

Fundora, 6’5″, is coming off a long retirement, having last fought on April 30, 2024, defeating WBO 154-lb champion Tim Tszyu via a 12-round split decision. It was a tough fight for both of them, leaving Tszyu bloodied from a clash of heads early in the fight.
