Elon Musk’s ‘top 20’ Diablo IV claim is as real as his self-driving cars

Elon Musk is a busy man right now. He is said to be using X, SpaceX, Tesla, and Neuralink, while actively campaigning for Trump. But despite those many worries, Musk still finds time to play Diablo 4. He even said he’s very good at it, saying in a recent interview with Joe Rogan that he’s in the top 20. Diablo 4 the players – an act that apparently only two Americans would want. If this sounds like unearned pride from the same guy who said his Cybertrucks are bulletproof… it is.

“It’s as wide as it gets in terms of recorded Pit runs with video evidence, as our community always alerts us when new top runs are recorded and posted on social media,” Fayz wrote. “But, there’s no way for us to know about Pit runs that can’t be recorded and shared.”

Musk is one of those billionaires who have made lofty but unverifiable claims about their gaming prowess. In a Pubity TikTok video, Mark Zuckerberg recently boasted that he’s “closer to grandma status” Civilization and that it would surprise him if there was someone in the world who could beat him. In 2017, the New York Times reported that Travis Kalanick, the former CEO of Uber, “once held the second position in the world of Nintendo Wii Tennis video game.” (This led to an interesting depth from Ars Technicawhich concluded that Kalanick was wrong.)
