Eddie Hearn Changes Position: Predicts Rage To Win Over Usyk

The DAZN PPV match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia where the Gypsy King is determined to avenge his only defeat. Promoter Eddie Hearn, who once supported Ukraine, has now withdrawn the course. Speaking to iFL TV, Hearn admitted the change of heart and explained the potential impact of a Fury victory.

“If Fury wins – and I’m actually leaning towards him, I’ve changed a bit – Fury could fight Anthony Joshua for the unification world heavyweight title,” he said. “The biggest fight ever in sports. Wembley, Riyadh, wherever.”

The dramatic turnaround came just weeks after Hearn made it clear that Usyk’s skill, ring IQ, and previous victories made him the logical favorite: “I don’t know how I can beat Usyk, but Tyson Fury is a very smart fighter. You’ve got smart people in the corner, but again, from an IQ level in boxing, you’re right there. Unfortunately, so is Oleksandr Usyk. So, my money, especially if he wins the first fight, will always be on Oleksandr Usyk. My heart wants to see Tyson Fury win… I would love to see him do it, but I see him as the underdog in this fight.”

Hearn’s comments came after Fury confirmed that Usyk could play three times, contingent on winning the upcoming rematch.
