“It just makes me feel bad,” Delvey said on Spelling’s anonymous podcast in September. “It was like a waste of time for me to do all this for them and they just threw me away easily. I know that the show was very happy to have me, but most of the viewers are not people who usually interest me.”
He added, “I thought, like, ‘They could build.’ It’s like, ‘Yes, only if you smile more, only if you do X, Y, Z, it will be better.’ It felt like they were putting a lot of effort into trying to get me into the program and make me comfortable, just to get this over with early. I see it, of course, as a shameful attempt to have us removed from the front Eric [Roberts] or Reginald [VelJohnson] in a dance competition.”
Sosa could see that Delvey felt embarrassed by his quick exit. He also commemorated their trip by getting a “Nothing 33” tattoo after they were eliminated.
