Disney World confirms ‘twisted’ Villains Land to begin construction ‘very, very soon,’ ‘very bad fun’
D23 Brazil revealed some new exciting things to come, and, a proven process, after a few years of teasing, Villains Land is coming to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando.
The event hosted by Chairman Josh D’Amaro revealed several additions to Disney parks, cruise ships and collaborations with Epic Games.
“Disney Experiences is embarking on an accelerated path to growth and innovation,” said D’Amaro. “With so many great Disney stories to tell, we’re excited to bring a number of new projects to life in the near future, whether in our theme parks, on our cruise ships or in our partnership with Epic Games digital space.”

Disney villain island At D23 Brazil, Disney released a list of villains that inspire the new world coming to the Magic Kingdom.
The event featured a lineup of villains promoting the new world coming to the Magic Kingdom.
Michael Hundgen (chief creative portfolio at Walt Disney Imagineering) joined D’Amaro and took the stage to share the backstory on the addition of Disney villains. D’Amaro confirmed that construction on Villains Land will begin “very, very soon.”
“In our case, there’s a mysterious spell cast on it, which summons all these villains from everywhere, Hundgen told the crowd at D23 Brazil. “In this country, the heroes—they don’t know how to save the day. There may be no happy after. You don’t know, do you?”

During the presentation they showed cartoons showing Disney villains highlighted.
“It just shows the terrible characters that inspire this world,” said Hundgen.

Details behind the cast have not been released, and the images highlighted on stage are illustrations from the Disney Lorcana trading card game. It was not discussed whether the shared images would ultimately be attractive.
Hundgen said the two attractions will be “big” and “a lot of fun.”
