Dennis Rodman has issued an apology to his daughter Trinity Rodman after comments he made about her on a recent podcast.
Rodman is Trinity’s father and her brother Dennis Rodman Jr, in his marriage to Michelle Moyer, but Trinity says she doesn’t act like them.
“He is not a father. Maybe by blood, but nothing else,” said the Olympic Gold Medalist about his father in the program He called Dad a podcast.
“We had a trip and we stayed there for a bit,” Trinity said. “We tried to live with him, but he parties 24/7, he brings in dirty clothes. He likes to stand out. He loves cameras.”
Trinity also went public with the former Bulls star’s struggle with drug use and called him an “alcohol”.
He also detailed how Rodman cut off his family financially at one point following his divorce from Moyer, which forced Moyer, the Trinity and DJ to live in an “SUV” for some time.
“I think you are an extremely selfish person,” said Trinity. “I think it’s always been about him.”
The four-time NBA champion took to Instagram to apologize to his daughter.
Taking to his Instagram on Thursday, the four-time NBA player explained that he has been banned from trying to see Trinity and will not stop trying to contact him.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but still I’m still trying and I’m still trying and I won’t stop,” Rodman wrote, quoting a video clip of the couple’s photos from years ago. “I will continue with Zama even if you are told as an adult not to answer my phone. I will try even if it is difficult and if it takes a long time. I’m always here and I tell you every time rather than your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and I wished that my children would call me and come to see me. I hope one day I can find that. I’m here and I’m still trying to pick up the phone, you have my number, You see me calling, I’m still here Dennis RODMAN- Dad.
“FYI: I watch you play all the time😊 (I actually flew to watch you play and I was told not to show up bc I was with him instead and I wanted to support you. So I watched you from my hotel balcony to make everyone happy. I love all my kids,” Rodman concluded, adding the hashtags, ” untold’ and the note “[stories].”
