Delhi Police has arrested another person in connection with the bomb threat at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).

The arrest follows the receipt of two suspicious bomb threat messages via the social media account at midnight on October 25/26.

In response, the police took immediate action and began an investigation. An FIR (833/24) was registered.

During the investigation, the source of the threatening messages was traced to a social media account registered under the name Shubham Upadhyay, a resident of Uttam Nagar. Based on manual intelligence and technical surveillance, a 25-year-old suspect was nabbed from Rajapuri.

During questioning, Shubham admitted that he had sent these messages in an attempt to gain attention after watching similar news reports on television.
