Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Lainey Wilson Slay Thanksgiving Halftime
Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders and Lainey Wilson gave football fans something to talk about during their Thanksgiving Day game at halftime.
The country singer, 32, joined the celebrity crowd at halftime of the Cowboys’ game against the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday, November 28.
The groundbreaking halftime show comes on the heels of the success of Netflix’s The Papers America’s Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaderswhich drops in June. The seven-episode first season followed the 2023 team from auditions to training camp and the 2023-2024 NFL season. Fans were optimistic Kelly Villares again Charlie Barby they will make the 2023 team, but were cut during the process.
The 36-man roster was restructured earlier this year when 24 veterans and 21 rookies received invitations to training camp, which ended in July. Twelve of the newcomers made the team, including Kelly V. and Charly, during the season Maddie K., Julissa, Ava, The Trinity, Allison, Abby, Ariel, Michelle, Darrah again Sophia completed the 2024 rookie class.
Last season’s rookies Reece Weaver, Anna Kate Sundvold, Camille Sturdivant, Brooklyn Davis, Kennedy Hannan, McKenna Gehrke, Zoe Dale again Taylor they also return as veterans for the 2024 team.
Also included are other veterans who have made the team Sophie Laufer, Madeline Salter, Chandi Dayle, Leah Tunnell, Kleine Powell, Kay Dianna MacKenzie, Armani Latimer, Amanda Howard, Kylie Dickson, Jada McLean, Megan McElaney, Kally Bethea, Karley Swindell, Marissa Phillips, Tori again Kelee.
Earlier this month, Netflix confirmed that America’s Sweethearts has been renewed for a 2nd season. The new season will follow the 2024-2025 cheerleading squad throughout the NFL season and is expected to premiere in 2025.
As for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show, it marks the official start of the organization’s annual fundraiser, which supports programs and services that provide food, shelter, rehabilitation, disaster relief and more to vulnerable communities. Last year, Dolly Parton helped the halftime game, stealing the show by dressing as a 77-year-old Dallas Cowboys cheerleader as the crowd danced to her songs.
Wilson revealed his involvement in the event in an October Instagram video.
“You may not know me for my bell ringing, but I also want to be known for my ringing. I am very happy to announce that I am partnering with The Salvation Army to love beyond the holidays and make a difference throughout the year,” he said at the time. “Let’s watch me and a special guest this Thanksgiving on Fox. We will start the season well.”
