Could 2025 Be Shakur Stevenson’s “Greatest Year Ever”?
Shakur Stevenson said today 2025 will be his “the greatest year ever,” which suggests that he believes that he will finally get a chance to fight Gervonta Davis.
2025 Wars
He should have seen his promoter Eddie Hearn’s interview today where he said Shakur will fight these three in 2025:
- Floyd Schofield: *Already scheduled for February 22nd
- William Zepeda: Faithful
- Gervonta Davis: You’re going to need a big gift from His Highness.
That may not happen, though, and he’ll have to settle because anyone Hearn can rob him of. If Tank and Zepeda refuse, Hearn may have to find whoever he can. He has a keen eye for scouting the area, and there are opportunities as long as Shakur keeps an open mind.
Andy Cruz and Richardson Hitchin would be great options if Tank or Zepeda choose not to fight Stevenson. It would help if Shakur is willing to move up to 140 for the fight because there are a lot of opportunities in that weight class.
The New Jersey native is big enough to compete at light welterweight, but he’s underpowered in that weight class. Even at 126 years old, Shakur had no energy and had to settle for a decision win.
Shakur (22-0, 10 KOs) should excite fans with his title defense against Schofield (18-0, 12 KOs) on February 22. That fight will be closely watched by some of the stars’ promoters, who will decide whether they think Stevenson is worth the fight. .
In Shakur’s last two fights against Artem Harutyunyan and William Zepeda, people felt that it was not worth it for Zepeda or Tank to fight him. Stevenson was ejected from both of those fights, and the fans were looking to the exits, not wanting to see him run in the ring.
Stevenson closes with 28; Generally, fighters can’t change their style at that age. If they’re a runner, they can’t magically transform themselves through training and strength to be fun. They are what they are at that moment.
Shakur’s prediction
The year 2025 will be my BIG year!!

“Shakur takes it personally because they’re competitive,” coach Greg Hackett told YSM Sports Media about an upset Shakur Stevenson responding to Tank Davis saying he’s accomplished “Nothing” during his professional career.
“The tank gives people what they want [knockouts]. So, Shakur gets angry. ‘You think you can beat me just because you take out those guys?’ Tank is like, ‘What are you doing? You are talking about fighting me. You can’t even get rid of them. I’m putting these guys to sleep.’ Tank is where he has the ball right now.”
“Kid Austin is not ready for Shakur Stevenson. Shakur is an excellent host. You are much sharper than my boy. I love Kid Austin, don’t get me wrong,” said Bullet Cromwell speaking to YSM Sports Media, saying that Floyd Schofield is not ready for Shakur Stevenson in their fight that will take place on February 22.
His Excellency Turki Alalshikh will have to make them an offer they can’t refuse to agree to fight Stevenson if they are reluctant to deal with the running and booing of the fans. With all the lightweights in the division, why would Turki waste money on Shakur when he could put together multiple matchups featuring these fighters against Tank or Zepeda:
– Edwin De Los Santos
– Raymond Muratalla
– Abdullah Mason
– Eduardo ‘Sugar’ Nunez
– Emanuel Navarrete
– Isaac Cruz
– Keyshawn Davis
“Shakur won a silver medal at the Olympics. He should have been a gold medalist. If you look at the trends, he won’t hold anything against Shakur. The fight I want to see is Shakur and Tank. “If I don’t see that, I don’t care to watch him fight anybody,” said Cromwell.
“Tank can’t touch Shakur with certain things, and Shakur can’t be hit by Tank.
