Comrade Workwear brand to launch ‘CEOs most wanted’ playing cards

Socialist clothing outfit Comrade Workwear plans to issue “most wanted CEOs” playing cards soon, following the recent killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Comrade Workwear founder James Harr announced the plans in a TikTok video on Saturday. Crediting a fan of this idea, Harr explained that the playing cards would be “the most wanted Iraqi playing cards” that American intelligence officials had created in 2003.

“This is what I’m thinking about behind the cards….basically, each suit will be, like, certain types of industries,” Harr explained in the video. “So the clubs will be, like pharmaceutical and chemical companies. The heart will be, like retail and housing. Things you need to survive.”

“The diamonds will be technology and finance and the media and the spades will be oil and war.”

Harr also created some CEO cards and encouraged feedback from TikTok users, expressing that he wants to launch the business soon.

“Tell me if you dig this thing because I want to get it out ASAP,” he concluded. “So let’s find out the answer.”

The business owner’s reaction to Thompson’s death on December 4 was similar to that of many social media users. In a TikTok video, Harr described the New York City killings as “good news,” calling the killer his “hero.”

In a separate video, the social entrepreneur also described the general joy over Thompson’s death as “amazing,” but urged his followers to focus on “the program,” rather than individual officials.

“No amount of dead CEOs is going to change the nature of capitalism,” Harr said in the video. “And it doesn’t matter how good that, you know, happens, we need to keep the knowledge that this power we have … that’s not going to change anything systematically.”

Comrade Workwear’s website lists its company mission as “create[ing] educational opportunities, community development, and organizing freedom.”

“I believe that at the intersection of art and self-expression there is a powerful opportunity for activists to bring conversations that are often confined to the corners of the internet into the public realm,” reads the brand’s website. “Clothing is the canvas that brings these conversations to the streets, in our daily lives, and in the spaces we share.”

“Whether it is to bring comfort or to stimulate discourse and learning, Comrade aims to use our art and clothing to advance the cause of building socialism in our lives.”

In a statement sent to FOX Business, Harr described the playing cards as “a way to help us take responsibility for our class position as workers and learn about the companies and their leaders who end up profiting from our suffering.”

“The media want us to condemn the violence of the killing of a senior health officer, but they will not acknowledge the daily violence that workers face because of the decisions of CEOs and boards of directors,” said Harr.
