Comic Con Footage Of The Last Dance Showcased The Real Poison Horse Royalty

The third and final entry in Tom Hardy’s Poison The movie series promises many things—the last ride of Eddie Brock and his violent, sympathetic friend, the arrival of some of Marvel’s biggest cosmic enemies, and his new interesting allies. But most of all, it promises and delivers one thing in particular: The Poisonous Horse.

The Symbiote-clad equine star became an internet sensation of the season Venom: The Last DanceThe first trailer dropped this past summer, and thankfully Sony showed that Venom Horse was going to live up to fan expectations when it revealed a full scene with the kidnapped animal at New York Comic Con during its panel last night. It opens with Eddie and Venom on the run, the two finding a horse in the desert tied up with no owner around. After arguing that “four legs are better than two,” Venom happily narrates Eddie’s attempts to sneak up on the creature before loudly announcing its presence as we take on the creature, transforming into the glowing Venom Horse we saw in the trailer.

As Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” plays the soundtrack, the Venom Horse rolls through the desert, dragging a distraught, screaming Eddie along for the ride as it gallops across hills and winding roads before reaching the finish line. stops at the river, giving Venom Horse a moment to drink and Eddie to cry that he can no longer feel his hump after the hard journey. However, their respite is short-lived: a fighter jet comes speeding up behind them, blasting the poor Venom Horse with a sonic attack that paralyzes the symbiote. Eddie is thrown from the horse and into the river as the masked soldiers begin retrieving from the plane to try and take Venom and dispose of Eddie for good.

They started fighting with one of the soldiers as it was being dragged by the winds, and the first one was almost caught in the net by the whole group. Eddie’s captor drags him into the struggle, nearly shooting him in the chest, and Eddie manages to turn the gun and pull the trigger himself—horrified by his actions as the soldier’s body begins to float lifelessly. Meanwhile, Venom escapes capture, leaping to grab a nearby fish frog, before returning to Eddie just in time for the two to fly over a waterfall. As the remaining soldiers surround Venom/Eddie and start shocking them with electric shocks, we cut to black and white echolocation of an unseen predator: a giant, four-legged, almost insectoid creature that doesn’t want Venom or the soldiers. talk.

As Venom and Eddie flee from the distraction, the soldiers struggle hopelessly with the monster as it explodes, capturing and killing them in a gruesome manner. Off the plane is Chiwetel Ejiofor’s new villain, Rex Strickland (a familiar name from the comics, especially Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman’s Poison run), he watches in horror as his men are killed. Pulling out a tablet, Strickland communicates with research scientist Dr. Payne (Juno Temple). Conveying that his team failed to capture Venom due to the arrival of a new dangerous creature, Payne clinically asks Strickland if he can retrieve samples of the creature that just killed his team, leading him to throw the tablet down in disgust.

Although this scene does a lot to tease the future conflicts The Last Dance—Eddie and Venom on the run, the hostile relationship between Strickland and Payne, and of course, the arrival of enemies from Venom’s home world of Klyntar—definitely the highlight was seeing the Poison Horse in all its glory. It is a happy reminder that these Poison movies, no matter the size, always have playful, silly fun at their heart, and we can’t see what else Eddie and Venom are up for when it hits theaters later this month on October 25.
