Chase’s portfolio of airline lounges continues to grow with the opening of two new locations.
The retailer announced on Tuesday that its new Sapphire Lounge by The Club has opened. As of Nov. 12, the facility at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) welcomes travelers.
The next location to open, San Diego International Airport (SAN), will open on Friday, December 6.
In addition, Chase also shared an updated timeline for when three more home lounges will open. Includes:
- Philadelphia International Airport (PHL): Terminal D/E Connector – opening early 2025
- Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport (LAS): Terminal 1 C gates – opening mid-2025
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): Tom Bradley International Terminal – opening TBD

Chase’s new Phoenix location is located in South 1 of Concourse 4 near the Southwest Airlines and American Airlines gates. The San Diego location will open at Terminal 2 West.
The outlet didn’t host a pre-opening tour of the Phoenix, but teased some of the best things travelers will find at the new lounge, including spectacular tarmac views from large windows, a flagship bar and an indoor “balcony” space. airport location.
The lounge’s dining offerings are served by a repurposed Airstream food truck served by popular Phoenix restaurant Larder & The Delta. Coffee will be served from Arizona-based Press Coffee, while the wine selection will be from Parcelle.

Note that this lounge measures just over 3,500 square meters, making it one of the smallest in the entire portfolio. At this size, I would expect the Phoenix lounge to operate on a waiting list all day. (It will be open from 4:30 am to 10:30 pm daily.)
Meanwhile, the outdoor San Diego location will measure just over 10,000 square feet and feature a wellness area with private relaxation pods, facial treatments from Face Haus and digital meditation from Devi Brown. There will also be a la carte dining options from San Diego’s Oscar’s Mexican Seafood and coffee from California’s Groundwork Coffee.
As for the design, Chase says the new location was built to reflect the location. With surfboards designed by a local artist and a large digital wall displaying drone footage of the San Diego coastline, this lounge is ready to be undeniably Southern Californian.

The San Diego location will be open from 5 am to 10 pm daily.
In addition to airport lounges, Chase said it will release a temporary lounge in Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 16. The lounge, which will be at Aria Resort & Casino, will provide food from Momofuku. and cocktails from Apotheke. Note that this pop-up will be limited to Chase Sapphire Reserve® card members only.
“When we opened our first domestic lounge, we were clear that expanding our footprint and improving the travel experience for our Sapphire Reserve card members was a priority. Our openings in Phoenix and San Diego, in addition to the expansion of lounges in the lounges where our customers stay and moving there, continues our mission to deliver this highly sought-after benefit,” said Dana Pouwels, Chase’s head of airport lounge benefits, in a statement.

There is bad news though. Chase’s terminal at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will close early next year. When the position opened, the issuer shared that it would be temporary (but did not share how long it would be open). It turns out that the airport authorities want to return the space for public use, so Chase will be forced to leave next year.

As this was always a temporary activation, the space will close in March of 2025.
