Stanton, 35, previously dated Bellinger’s longtime partner, Chase Carterand MLB fans can’t stop it. Especially after the news that Bellinger, 29, is headed to the Yankees.
On Tuesday, December 17, it was announced that Bellinger had been acquired by the Yankees following a two-year stint with the Chicago Cubs. After the trade was announced, MLB fans were quick to revisit Stanton’s dating history — revealing that he and Carter, 27, had been romantically linked back in the day.
While Stanton and Carter have never openly discussed their relationship, eagle-eyed baseball fans have noticed Sports Illustrated model sitting next to the Yankees star Aaron is the judgenow wife, Samantha Bracksieckduring the 2019 game. That same year, Carter and Stanton were photographed attending an event together in New York City. It’s unclear what exactly went down between them, but Carter was romantically linked to Bellinger the following year.

“Cody Bellinger’s wife is Giancarlo Stanton’s Ex The Bronx is on fire,” one fan shared on X Monday after news of the Bellinger trade broke. Others shared a candid Instagram Story photo Carter posted earlier, showing him holding Stanton’s hand.
Another social media user added: “No way, Cody Bellinger’s wife is Giancarlo Stanton’s ex. Talk about clubhouse culture.”

The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary in July 2021, announcing that Carter is pregnant with their first child. Their daughter Caiden was born in November of that year.
In October 2022, Carter announced that she and Bellinger were expecting their second child. “Caiden and Juniors siblings are on the way,” she shared on Instagram at the time, referring to their daughter and dog. Their second child, a girl, Cy, was born in April 2023.
“Cody caught him. Cy was a twin,” Carter wrote in an Instagram post in May 2023 when she shared her birth story. “Unfortunately her twin didn’t make it (we didn’t even know there were twins until I gave birth to the placenta) but we are blessed with Cy.”
Bellinger proposed to Carter in June 2023. The model announced the news on social media, showing off her massive diamond ring. Multiple outlets have reported that they tied the knot in December 2023, but neither Bellinger nor Carter have confirmed their engagement yet. However, Carter has since changed his name on Instagram to Chase Bellinger.
