Klein said People that Wildenstein died peacefully in his sleep after battling phlebitis, which the Cleveland Clinic describes as inflammation of the veins near your skin caused by blood clots.
“Because of his phlebitis, the legs were very swollen, and the blood was blocked, and there was no oxygen to the brain,” Lloyd told the outlet. “And we were sleeping and when I woke up, I said, ‘Jocelyn, we have to get up, get dressed,’ and she was cold and dead.”
He added, “It’s very painful. … It’s so painful to sleep with a part of you that I’ve known for 21 years and wait to celebrate New Year’s Eve and find him cold.”

Before her death, Wildenstein (born Jocelyne Périsset) made headlines for her extreme plastic surgery that made her look like an ox. The work led to her being nicknamed “Catwoman.”
After his first surgery in the late 1970s, fans began comparing Wildenstein’s eye lift to that of a lynx, which he had as a pet.

Jocelyn was also known for her marriage to a billionaire art dealer Alec Wildenstein. The two married in 1978 and divorced in 1999.
