Captain Sandy’s Wedding Features Several Below Deck Alum Cameos

Bravo gave a glimpse Captain Sandy Yawn again Leah ShaferDeck’s wedding — but did you catch all those Below Deck alum cameos?

During the season 9 finale of Below Deck Mediterranean, which aired on Monday, September 23, Sandy, 59, proposed to Leah, 50, as the episode ended. The epilogue was quickly posted eight months after their wedding, which featured a few familiar faces.

Chef Dave Whitewho appeared in season 7 of Below Deck Medwas seen cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Great stews Kate Chastain again Aisha Scott Guests and fans were also invited to watch Norma who is known as the person in charge of the yacht crew placement Sandy sent a message to when he needed new members.

While getting married on the boat, Sandy and Leah read their vows in front of everyone.

“Leah baby, on November 17 2018, we hugged for the first time and that’s when I knew it was you,” said Sandy while Leah added, “Whether it’s one day or a hundred years, I’m so thankful that I had a love that I never thought I would have.”

The episode ended with guests – including Kate, 41, and Aesha – giving speeches to the happy couple.

“Thank you very much for including me. I am very happy to celebrate what is truly a celebration of love,” said Kate. “He gives love to everyone he meets.”

Meanwhile in Aesha’s speech, she reminded Sandy and Leah to “hold and cherish” their “pure and beautiful” love. Sandy reflected on the festivities in the confessional as she said, “Whether it’s on land or on a boat, I’m going to spend the rest of my life loving Leah.”

Sandy and Leah met in 2018 and dated for several years before getting engaged on screen. Before dating Sandy, Leah was married to singer Ross Shafer for 20 years. They welcomed daughter Lauren before their separation, who was seen at the wedding.

Earlier this year, Sandy opened up about how she chose who to invite to her big day.

“We were carrying only 60 people. So with our family and close friends, it was difficult to invite the people we really wanted to Bravo,” he said. Us Weekly in May. “So we had people who were in our lives from the beginning. Because they see me, [when] I was single when I started the program. Then everyone knows when I met Leah because that’s all I talked about.”

Sandy wanted to find a way to bring together a large producer Nadine Rajabi and Vice President of Current Productions for Bravo Josh Brownhe added, “[We had] I was bored there [to officiate] and Josh Brown and just people who have been in my life from NBC. We really wanted people there [such as] Kate Chastain [even though] we are not in each other’s lives every day. And then Aesha Scott, of course. “

Before their big day, Sandy and Leah even received a gift from a Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen.

“He was very generous – he sent us a very big gift. He actually wanted to come. He said, ‘Yeah, send me an invitation,'” Sandy noted. “It would have been nice to have him there but it was really nice – his message and his gift.”

Leah referred to Andy as “very supportive” as Sandy added, “He answers Leah’s messages. It’s really good.”
